Hygiene plan
General Hygiene Guidelines
The hygiene and safety of clients, as well as adherence to professional hygiene standards, are top priorities at The Press On Lounge.
All treatments are performed with careful adherence to hygienic measures to minimize the risk of infections, contaminations, and health impairments.
1. Personal Hygiene
Before each treatment:
- hands are thoroughly washed and disinfected
- disposable gloves are worn if necessary
- clean work clothes are used
Appointments will not be carried out in case of symptoms of illness or contagious diseases.
2. Workplace Hygiene
Before and after each treatment:
- work surfaces are disinfected
- used equipment is cleaned
- materials are hygienically prepared
For mobile appointments, the client provides a:
- clean,
- dry
- and adequately lit workspace
Pets should ideally not be present in the immediate work area during treatment.
3. Cleaning & Disinfection of Tools
All reusable tools are, after each client:
- cleaned
- disinfected
- hygienically stored
Only suitable surface and instrument disinfectants are used.
Damaged or contaminated tools are immediately sorted out.
4. Use of Disposable Materials
Disposable products such as:
- files
- buffers
- wooden sticks
- cellettes
- dust protection materials
are used only once or stored client-specifically.
Non-reusable materials are disposed of immediately after treatment.
5. Handling of Injuries
In the event of injuries or skin irritations, the treatment is immediately interrupted.
Affected areas are hygienically cared for and disinfected.
In case of:
- suspected nail fungus,
- inflammatory skin diseases,
- open wounds
- or infectious changes
treatment may be refused or discontinued for hygienic reasons.
6. Product & Material Hygiene
All products used are:
- properly stored
- regularly checked
- hygienically used
Products with an expired shelf life are not used.
7. Client Protection & Health
Clients undertake to disclose known:
- allergies
- skin diseases
- infections
- intolerances
- health limitations
before treatment.
Treatment is carried out exclusively on a healthy nail and skin base.
8. Press-On Nails
Custom-made press-on nails are hygienically prepared, processed, and packaged.
Before shipping or handover, the products are carefully checked.
9. Hygiene for Mobile Appointments
For mobile appointments, the following also applies:
- adequate ventilation of the workplace
- stable work surface
- access to hygienic conditions
The Press On Lounge reserves the right to refuse appointments if hygienic conditions are insufficient.
10. Goal of the Hygiene Plan
This hygiene plan serves:
- the protection of clients,
- the safe execution of all services
- as well as adherence to professional hygiene standards in nail design and press-on nails.
